Eranium - Notice history

Due to a bug in the software we are running on our route-servers in Frankfurt sessions are occasionally flapping. If you see a flap towards either route-server in Frankfurt please keep in mind this could be going on, service traffic is not affected (no causation or relation) by these flaps and they are not caused by forwarding problems in the platform, meaning all traffic exchanged is unaffected by these flaps.

The last such event happened on rs2 (185.0.27.254) on 12th of April at 20:57:29 (CEST).

At the mentioned date and time we will proceed to reload both route-servers, upgrading the software to a version we have tested this problem to no longer be present.

This maintenance will affect BGP sessions towards:
rs1-fra: 185.0.27.1, 2001:7f8:15e::1

rs2-fra: 185.0.27.254, 2001:7f8:15e::254

For this maintenance no action is required from your side.

The problem also occurred on rs2-fra (at 10:54:31 CEST), which we have immediately updated in the downtime caused by the crash, keeping total downtime and unavailability of rs2-fra to an absolute minimum.

This means the maintenance will no longer proceed on the scheduled date and time as the work has been completed during the windows caused by the root problem.
